Physical Activity as we see it

  • One of the most important things people can do for their health is to engage in regular physical activity. With exercise people are at less of a risk to get serious injuries or sickness. There are many upsides physically to exercise like stronger bones, greater lung power, a healthier heart and a sharper brain.

Your exercising right, but are you eating right as well?

You might be a very active person, but if you don’t eat what you should your body will start to wear down. The thing is the body needs food constantly to function, but if you aren’t eating properly you aren’t functioning properly. Here are some foods that can boost things like Protein, Iron, Vitamin D and more; Eggs, Almonds, Steak, and fish and liver. Sometimes though, you would think that these foods are good for you. But you are so, so, wrong. See the following foods seem helpful but they are the HORRIBLE for you;

  • Low fat yogurt
  • Premade salad’s
  • Tomatoes
  • Protean bars
  • Granola
  • Sports drink (gatorade, powerade)
  • Sushi

See, you might be surprised with some of the things on this list… so am I mean these are things we all know and would believe are good for you. Some ways you could eat healthier are;

Eat more iron from plants, eat the right amount of calories for your age group (If you don’t know what is right see the canadian food guide) Skip coffee or caffeine in general, eat an energising breakfast, eat more superfruits, eat in season and choose fresh foods if possible. If gaining muscle is what you want these foods can work for you; Eggs, salmon, chicken breast, greek yogurt, tuna, lean beef, shrimp, soybeans and more.
